A useful bachata plan distinguishes a lesson, a social and a festival. It also identifies the city: a San Francisco event, a Richmond ballroom and a Burlingame congress are different trips.
Friday bachata in San Francisco
Dance Fridays at Space 550, 550 Barneveld Avenue, San Francisco, offers beginning bachata at 8 PM, beginning salsa at 8:45 PM and intermediate bachata at 9 PM. Doors open at 7:45 PM; salsa and bachata have separate rooms. The event is 21+ with valid ID.
The regular Friday program has a separate bachata room and social dancing until 1:30 AM. Dance Saturdays at the same address is occasional, not a guaranteed weekly “Latin Saturdays” event.
Monday: verify the lesson lineup
SalsaCrazy Mondays takes place at Neck of the Woods, 406 Clement Street, San Francisco. Doors open at 6:30 PM for a night of classes and salsa/bachata social dancing. Check your dated ticket for the lesson lineup; no partner is required for the beginner classes.
Monday includes salsa and bachata social dancing, but a bachata lesson is not confirmed for every Monday. Use the dated ticket rather than treating it as a second guaranteed weekly bachata class.
Date-specific bachata parties at Cigar Bar
At 850 Montgomery Street in Jackson Square, Cigar Bar & Grill’s dated calendar lists the specific salsa bands, lessons and bachata parties available. Its October 2026 schedule includes Friday/Saturday salsa and selected Thursday bachata dates. Do not assume its other nights have the same program.
Choose the specific party and instructor program you want; the venue’s general opening hours are not lesson times.
Allegro: Richmond, not Emeryville
Allegro Ballroom and Club is at 12012 San Pablo Avenue, Richmond. Its current calendar includes Sunday salsa/bachata programming. Verify the class and social details directly.
Choosing a class or festival
Use our bachata class guide to compare the confirmed Friday levels. For independent schools, require a current booking page before relying on an old provider list.
The San Francisco SBK Congress includes a bachata track in Burlingame. Check current workshops, competition rules and pass inclusions.
